Who's Thoughts Are They Anyway?

Do you ever do that? Or is it just me? Have those conversations in your head...just like you are chatting with a good friend...but you are all alone with those thoughts?

I woke up doing this morning doing that.

It was very interesting as I woke up thinking about a certain situation and wondering if our Loving Lord got the victory in that situation or if the Enemy won that battle.

Then I played it out several different ways...wondering each time, who won?

And my conversation with me went something like this...

"If we do it Way #1, the result is "A"  and the Enemy really wants us to suffer the consequence of "A".  But if we do it Way #2, the result is "B". The Enemy would love for us to do it Way #2 but doesn't want us to experience the joy of "B"... What the enemy really wants is for us to do it Way #2 with result "A" but it doesn't work that way."

I know, I know, it's a bit confusing as you read that. But, trust me, it makes sense.

Anyway, continuing my in-head conversation...

"Wait a minute...how do we know what the Enemy wants? Who knows the mind of the Enemy...hey, wait, don't go there...it's too much like...hmmm....."

And that's when I knew I had to get up and write this Little Lesson from my Loving Lord.

Romans 11:34 (AMP) says: For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has [ever] been His counselor?

That was the verse that came to my mind and stopped my thoughts in their tracks! If we don't know or understand the thoughts of our Loving Lord, how in the world can we know the Enemy's thoughts? Don't give the Enemy that kind of power in your life. Don't think you know know him well enough to outsmart him!

Little Lesson Life Expression
Are you trying to create the thoughts of our Loving Lord and/or His enemy today? Are you trying to work out your own plans based on those made up thoughts? Will you give your mind and your thoughts back to our Loving Lord today and trust His plans?

Isaiah 55:8 (MSG)
“I don’t think the way you think.
The way you work isn’t the way I work.”
        God’s Decree.
“For as the sky soars high above earth,
so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
