Everyday Things

So far we have seen how we can see our Loving Lord in everyday SITUATIONS...today we are going to look at how we see Him in everyday THINGS.

Remote Control - We use the remote control to call up a channel or turn down the volume. Prayer is our spiritual remote. Without physically touching our Loving Lord, we can call on him to take control of our situations and to change what needs to be changed.

Sponge - A sponge will try to soak up any liquid it comes in contact with. Our Loving Lord wants us to be sponges that soak up His word every chance we get.

Leaf Blower - Around here, leaves fall like snow in a heavy winter. They are annoying and try to get into everything...your car, your house, your pool. So you get out the leaf blower to push the leaves out of your home and out of your yard. The Holy Spirit is our spiritual leaf blower. He wants to come in and blow all the annoying sins out of your life and out of your home.

Cooking Spray - When we coat a pan with cooking spray, the food rarely sticks to the pan. When we coat our lives with prayer and reading the word, sin rarely has a chance to stick to us. Even though we are constantly exposed to temptations, we are able to avoid getting 'stuck' on the evil that surrounds us.

Soap - Ahhhh, a nice hot soapy bath makes a body feel soooo clean! Repentance is the soap that makes our souls feel just as refreshed and clean.

Keep your eyes open while you go about your day. There are items and situations that you encounter everyday that can show you Little Lessons from my Loving Lord.
Jeremiah 29:13-14a (NIV): You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD
